Thailand: January 20 – 28, 2013

  • Krabi & Ao Nang & Bangkok & Railay Beach & Island hopping
  • Rent a canoe for the day instead of taking a boat to Railay
  • Bring your walking shoes if you want to go to a small, less crowded beach and follow the signs/ask for directions from Railay
  • Skip the caves at Railay – as Hova says, “beach is better”
  • Eat the seafood, you’re right next to the sea – I was vegetarian on this trip, but my family enjoyed it
  • Clear skies, blue waters
  • Go island hopping to the smaller islands – don’t forget to tip your guide if they’re great (a little goes a long way)
  • $7AUD for one hour body massages – whatwhat
  • Pack light – plenty of shopping in Bangkok
  • FRENCH. FOOD. (I may be a little biased)
  • Bangkok: Most delicious salted caramel chocolate tart I’ve ever had
  • Forget taxis in Bangkok – take the MRT
  • Asiatique The Riverfront Market – it’s a little bit fancy
  • Language:
    สวัสดี (sawasdee): hello
