Honduras: September 29 – 30, 2014

  • Currency: Honduran lempira (USD is widely accepted, but you will get change back in local currency, and often at a bad exchange rate)
  • Copan is a little town with beautiful cobblestone streets
  • Speeding through the Honduran countryside in the back of a truck
  • Hot springs with foot massages (you basically walk around 7 times on stones), mud baths, and a delicious dinner
  • Copan Ruins
    • Beautiful Mayan ruins
    • The nature walk from hell – mud, swarms of mosquitos, extremely dangerous-looking spiders everywhere – basically spent the entire time trying to get out, and laughing at Ephraim walking into spider webs every few metres and freaking out
