Costa Rica: October 11 – 14, 2014

  • La Fortuna & Lake Arenal & Pacuare River & San Jose
  • Currency: Costa Rican colón (USD is widely accepted, but you will get change back in local currency)
  • Eco Conservation walk to see wildlife: sloth, butterflies, native bird species, frogs, lizards
  • Festival in La Fortuna – going to watch a bull-fight and some Costa Rican cowboys
  • Waking up at 5am to go white-water rafting to San Jose
  • Wandering around San Jose alone worried about getting mugged/kid-napped
  • Going to random shopping centres in San Jose to get Andy’s phone fixed
  • Saying goodbyes to everyone :(
  • I’d strongly recommend finding a company that takes you for a day of white-water rafting down the Pacuare River from La Fortuna to San Jose – there are level 1,2,3, and 4 rapids and you get to see some beautiful Costa Rican scenery while rafting
