Cambodia: July 10 – 11, 2015

  • Sihanoukville
  • Currency: Cambodian Riel – USD is preferred and accepted everywhere, and local currency will usually be given back as change
  • 4 hours via bus from Siem Reap – Sihanoukville
  • There are a main strip of restaurants with tables beautifully set on the beach – just make sure it doesn’t thunderstorm, or else you’ll be running undercover halfway through dinner
  • Visiting a beautiful waterfall in the morning
  • Going to a local beach side hut, where you can pay to sit on a section of a deserted beach in front of the hut/use the hammocks (I had a strong one hour nap in one of them)
  • Our tour guide made us some delicious cocktails to stave off the heat – the ‘Hot Asian’ and Passionfruit Mojitos
  • Kim deciding to snapchat my ass with the caption ‘juicy’ – thanks Kim
  • A little volleyball session with Petra, Laura, and the two Bens
  • Feeding leftover fruit to monkeys and goats (one of which decided to pretend to nuzzle my leg and then proceed to eat my towel…)
  • 50c beers for Kimmy
  • Bringing our leftover drinks to our tour guide’s friend’s place
    • Playing fruit chubby bunny, 21, and tennis
    • Ben giving Sarah the nickname ‘Chihuahua’ (‘amateur hour’)
  • Hitching a ride back to the hotel (a few blocks away) in a local tourist police truck
