- Seminyak, Mt Batur, Ubud & Jimbaran
- Currency: Indonesian Rupiah
- Brushing up on my nearly non-existent surfing skills in the waves in Seminyak
- Stay: Tijili in Seminyak – good prices for a nice hotel with a pool, and close to the beach
- Cheap food YAY
- Massages on massages on massages
- Waking up at 1am to go hike up Mt Batur and see the sunrise from the top
- Almost gave up 3 times
- Spent the entire hike up wishing I didn’t smoke so much, only to reach the top and light up a “I-deserve-this” cigarette
- Eating breakfast at the top (hardboiled eggs, and banana sandwiches cooked in the steam from the volcano)
- Stopping by a little monkey community on the way down
- Wishing that bae would stop filming videos of me almost falling over while coming down the volcano
- Stopping at a coffee and chocolate farm after and trying the famous poop coffee… it was very smooth.
- Walking in the rice terraces of Ubud in the boiling heat and almost regretting opting for a longer tour
- Stopping by the famous and overrated Monkey Forest
- Driving through villages and seeing amazing handicraft items being sold on the side of the road
- Wedding celebrations & family reunions
- Stay: Le Meridien in Jimbaran – expensive resort, but you pay for great service and amenities, the rooftop wedding chapel is amazing
- Seafood BBQ on the beach and watching people release lanterns
- Ku De Ta & Potatohead – I personally preferred Potatohead, but you should definitely check them both out
- Spending our last moments soaking the sun at Jimbaran beach (the waves are so-so)
- Naughty Nuri’s BBQ (for all the meat lovers out there, there’s one opening in Melbourne)
